Vacancies to occur by expiration of the term of office at the end of any year in which a biennial election is held shall be filled by election on the Tuesday following the first Monday of November in that year. 1. Term of office. The term of office for a county commissioner is 4 years, except when a person is elected to fill an unexpired term, in which case it is for the remainder of the unexpired term.
