- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
A person is a meat processor subject to this subchapter if the person is engaged in the business of slaughtering cattle, sheep, goats, or hogs and processing or packaging them for sale as meat.
