- Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
Each attorney employed on a contractual basis by the attorney general pursuant to La. Rev. Stat. 49:251.2, shall submit his fee for professional services by sworn affidavit. The affidavit shall contain a detailed statement of the number of hours actually worked, giving the dates and time of day and a description of the work performed. No contract fee shall be paid unless submitted by affidavit as provided herein.
