Connecticut General Statutes 10-265bb – Duties of the corporation
(a) The corporation shall work with entities that include, but are not limited to, nonprofit organizations, high schools and school districts, institutions of higher education and employers to connect youths and young adults between the ages of fourteen to twenty-four, inclusive, to upwardly mobile career opportunities. The corporation shall support public education and workforce development programs that include an integrated focus on youth development with programming to provide such youths and young adults with the holistic supports needed to succeed.

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
(b) The corporation shall support and encourage microfinance and social entrepreneurship initiatives in order to expand economic opportunity in under-resourced communities.
(c) The corporation shall work with stakeholders in under-resourced communities to ensure public input and participation in program design, while remaining focused on advancing positive outcomes as quickly and sustainably as possible. The corporation shall monitor, measure and annually report, in accordance with subsection (d) of section 10-265aa, on its progress in achieving specific agreed-upon impact objectives.
