- Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
614.13 Injunction.
When the commencement of an action shall be stayed by injunction or statutory prohibition,
the time of the continuance of such injunction or prohibition shall not be part of the time limited for the commencement of the action, except as otherwise provided in this chapter.
