- Department: the department of natural resources. See Missouri Laws 253.010
- Park: any land, site or object primarily of recreational value or of cultural value because of its scenic, historic, prehistoric, archeologic, scientific, or other distinctive characteristics or natural features. See Missouri Laws 253.010

No person shall pursue, catch, kill or take any wildlife, as defined in section 252.020, in any manner, or in any quantity or at any time or place within the boundaries of any state park, except by written provisions issued by the department of natural resources and in conformity with the published rules and regulations of the Missouri department of conservation.
