- Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.
There is hereby created the “Missouri Horse Racing Commission”, which shall consist of five members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate. The commission shall oversee the development and administration of the pari-mutuel horse racing industry in Missouri. The commission shall be assigned to the Missouri gaming commission.
