Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 189:40
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- month: shall mean a calendar month, and the word "year" a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed; and the word "year" shall be equivalent to the expression "year of our Lord. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:8
In the absence of express contract, a session of 3 hours in the forenoon and 3 hours in the afternoon shall constitute a school day, 5 such days a school week, and 4 such weeks a school month, in the public schools.
