(1) The governor may appoint the director of the Division of Oil, Gas, and Mining to serve as the governor’s official representative to the Interstate Mining Commission.

Terms Used In Utah Code 40-9-103

  • Person: means :
         (24)(a) an individual;
         (24)(b) an association;
         (24)(c) an institution;
         (24)(d) a corporation;
         (24)(e) a company;
         (24)(f) a trust;
         (24)(g) a limited liability company;
         (24)(h) a partnership;
         (24)(i) a political subdivision;
         (24)(j) a government office, department, division, bureau, or other body of government; and
         (24)(k) any other organization or entity. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) A copy of the bylaws of the Interstate Mining Commission shall be:

     (2)(a) placed on file with the director of the Division of Oil, Gas, and Mining; and
     (2)(b) available, at reasonable times, for inspection by the Legislature or an interested person.
(3) As used in Article V (1), “agency of the party States” does not mean an agency of Utah.
(4) A person or entity may not hold Utah liable for the obligations or solvency of:

     (4)(a) the retirement system described in Article V (6); or
     (4)(b) a program of employee benefits described in Article V (6).
