(a) A court that convicts a person of a violation of commercial fishing laws under this title or under a regulation adopted under this title in a salmon fishery shall forward a record of the conviction to the commission on a weekly basis.

Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 16.43.880

  • Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.

(b) A conviction on a plea of nolo contendere accepted by the court or a forfeiture of bail or collateral deposited to secure a defendant‘s appearance in court that has not been vacated, or as a result of trial, is a conviction for purposes of Alaska Stat. § 16.43.85016.43.895.
