Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 21.55.320

  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(1) provide the applicant with either a notice of rejection for failing to comply with the requirements of Alaska Stat. § 21.55.300 and 21.55.310 or a notice of acceptance; and
(2) for a TAA eligible individual, send a notice to the director specifying the name, address, social security number, and effective date of coverage.
(b) When a person with a disability that is covered under 42 U.S.C. § 1395 -1395 b- 10 (Title XVIII of the Social Security Act) is referred by an insurer to a state plan under Alaska Stat. § 21.55.310, the plan administrator shall request that the Department of Health provide information to the person about applying for the federal benefits.
