A person who makes a false certificate under Alaska Stat. § 39.25.195 is personally liable in a civil action to an individual terminated under Alaska Stat. § 39.25.197 for any resultant damages and for punitive damages of an amount not to exceed three times the gross monthly salary at which the nonpermanent employee was appointed.
