Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 45.88.020

  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(1) make loans for the purchase, construction, and installation, in commercial buildings that are located in the state, of

(A) alternative energy systems; and
(B) energy conservation improvements;
(2) adopt regulations necessary to carry out the provisions of Alaska Stat. § 45.88.01045.88.090, including regulations to establish reasonable fees for services provided and charges for collecting the fees;
(3) collect the fees and collection charges established under this subsection.
(b) The department shall develop eligibility standards for loans made under Alaska Stat. § 45.88.01045.88.090 and adopt guidelines for the determination of loan terms.
(c) The department may not make a loan under Alaska Stat. § 45.88.01045.88.090 to a person who has a past due child support obligation established by court order or by the child support services agency under Alaska Stat. § 25.27.16025.27.220 at the time of application.
