Benefits payable under the policy are hereby exempted from any state, county, or municipal tax and shall not be subject to execution or attachment or to any legal process whatsoever and shall be unassignable.
Terms Used In Delaware Code Title 18 Sec. 6708B
- Attachment: A procedure by which a person's property is seized to pay judgments levied by the court.
- Policy: means a contract between the insurer and the insured which determines the claims which the insurer is legally required to pay based on the benefits outlined in § 6702B of this title. See Delaware Code Title 18 Sec. 6701B
- State: means the State of Delaware; and when applied to different parts of the United States, it includes the District of Columbia and the several territories and possessions of the United States. See Delaware Code Title 1 Sec. 302
