Every society organized or licensed under this chapter is hereby declared to be a charitable and benevolent institution and all of its funds shall be exempt from all and every state, county, district, municipal and school tax other than taxes on real estate and office equipment.

Terms Used In Delaware Code Title 18 Sec. 6224

  • Laws: shall mean the society's certificate of incorporation, constitution and bylaws, however designated. See Delaware Code Title 18 Sec. 6204
  • Society: shall mean fraternal benefit society, unless otherwise indicated. See Delaware Code Title 18 Sec. 6204
  • State: means the State of Delaware; and when applied to different parts of the United States, it includes the District of Columbia and the several territories and possessions of the United States. See Delaware Code Title 1 Sec. 302
