New Mexico Statutes 59A-50-14. Registration procedure and matters relating to registration of representatives
Appointment of representatives, issuance or refusal of certificate of registration, continuance or expiration of registration, suspension, revocation or refusal to continue registration, and all related matters shall be governed by the applicable provisions of Article 11 [N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 59A, Article 11] (licensing procedures) of the Insurance Code as though registration of a motor club representative were the same as licensing of an agent by a casualty insurer, except that applicant for registration as motor club representative shall not be required to take and pass an examination, whether written or oral, as a qualification for registration. The fee for filing application for registration and annual continuance of registration shall be as specified in Section 101 [59A-6-1 N.M. Stat. Ann.] (fee schedule) of the Insurance Code.
Terms Used In New Mexico Statutes 59A-50-14
- applicant: means any person, firm, association, partnership, corporation or other legal entity, applying for a certificate of authority or renewal thereof under this article. See New Mexico Statutes 59A-50-2
- Continuance: Putting off of a hearing ot trial until a later time.
- motor club: means a person engaged, directly or indirectly either as principal or agent, in selling or offering for sale, furnishing or procuring motor club service to members or subscribers. See New Mexico Statutes 59A-50-2
- motor club representative: means any salesman or other individual who, for compensation, solicits or sells memberships, subscriptions or franchises on behalf of any motor club. See New Mexico Statutes 59A-50-2
