(1) To replace license plates, a cab card, or validation tab(s), the registrant must apply to the department on forms furnished by the department.

- Cab card: is a certificate of registration issued for a vehicle. See Washington Code 46.87.020
- Department: means the department of licensing. See Washington Code 46.87.020
- Registrant: means a person, business, or corporation in whose name or names a vehicle or fleet of vehicles is registered. See Washington Code 46.87.020
(a) A fee of ten dollars is charged for two license plates. The department must issue new license plates with validation tabs and a new cab card.
(b) A fee of two dollars is charged for each cab card.
(c) A fee of two dollars is charged for each validation year tab.
(2) All fees collected under this section must be deposited in the motor vehicle fund.
