Terms Used In Maryland Code, BUSINESS OCCUPATIONS AND PROFESSIONS 17-406

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
  • state: means :

    (1) a state, possession, territory, or commonwealth of the United States; or

    (2) the District of Columbia. See
(a) Each claim against the Guaranty Fund shall be made in accordance with this section.

(b) Each claim shall:

(1) be in writing;

(2) be made under oath;

(3) state the amount of loss claimed;

(4) state the facts on which the claim is based; and

(5) be accompanied by any documentation or other evidence that supports the claim.
