Terms Used In Maryland Code, TAX - PROPERTY 14-515

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Any party to a proceeding in the circuit court under § 14-513 of this subtitle may appeal a final decision of the circuit court to the Court of Special Appeals.
