Terms Used In Idaho Code 39-4503
- Health care services: means services for the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, cure, or relief of a health condition, illness, injury, or disease. See Idaho Code 39-4502
- person: includes a corporation as well as a natural person;
Idaho Code 73-114provider: means any person or entity licensed, certified, or otherwise authorized by law to administer health care services in the ordinary course of business or practice of a profession, including emergency or other medical services personnel. See Idaho Code 39-4502
Any person, including one who is developmentally disabled and not a respondent as defined in section 66-402, Idaho Code, who comprehends the need for, the nature of, and the significant risks ordinarily inherent in any contemplated health care services is competent to consent thereto on his or her own behalf. Any health care provider may provide such health care services in reliance upon such a consent.
