Terms Used In Idaho Code 67-6609
- Candidate: means an individual who seeks nomination, election, or reelection to public office and who has taken any of the following actions:
Idaho Code 67-6602Contribution: includes any advance, conveyance, forgiveness of indebtedness, deposit, distribution, loan, payment, gift, pledge, subscription or transfer of money or anything of value, and any contract, agreement, promise or other obligation, whether or not legally enforceable, to make a contribution, in support of or in opposition to any candidate, political committee or measure. See Idaho Code 67-6602 Expenditure: includes any payment, contribution, subscription, distribution, loan, advance, deposit, or gift of money or anything of value, and includes a contract, promise, or agreement, whether or not legally enforceable, to make an expenditure. Idaho Code 67-6602Political treasurer: means an individual appointed by a candidate or political committee as provided in section 67-6603, Idaho Code. See Idaho Code 67-6602 State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. If no contribution is received or expenditure made by or on behalf of a candidate or political committee during a period described in section 67-6607, Idaho Code, the political treasurer for the candidate or political committee shall file with the secretary of state, at the time required by such section of this act for the period, a statement to that effect.
