- Prosecute: To charge someone with a crime. A prosecutor tries a criminal case on behalf of the government.
Upon request of the administrator, it shall be the duty of the attorney general to institute and prosecute civil enforcement actions or injunctive actions as provided in section 54-1920, Idaho Code. The attorney general may delegate the authority and duty under this section to the prosecuting attorney of the county in which the action may arise.
