Licensure as a "licensed clinical professional counselor" shall be restricted to persons who have successfully completed each of the following requirements:
(1) Hold a valid licensed professional counselor license in good standing;

- Board: means the Idaho state licensing board of professional counselors and marriage and family therapists. See Idaho Code 54-3401
- experience under supervision: means a face-to-face process by which an approved supervisor facilitates the professional growth of a supervisee and monitors the supervisee’s clinical performance. See Idaho Code 54-3401
- Licensed professional counselor: means any person licensed under this chapter to practice professional counseling as defined in this chapter. See Idaho Code 54-3401
(2) Document two thousand (2,000) hours of direct client contact experience under supervision in no less than a two (2) year period as set forth in this chapter and the rules of the board.
(3) Successful completion of a written examination as approved by the board and defined in rules of the board.
