Terms Used In 5 Guam Code Ann. § 1401
- Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
In addition to the agency members, there shall be four (4) members from the business community and community-at-large chosen by I Maga’lahen Guåhan (the Governor) with the advice and consent of I Liheslaturan Guåhan (the Legislature). The ninth (9th) member of the Council shall be chosen by the other eight (8) members. The non-agency members shall receive the sum of Fifty
