Terms Used In 18 Guam Code Ann. § 12117

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Public law: A public bill or joint resolution that has passed both chambers and been enacted into law. Public laws have general applicability nationwide.
Any corporation organized under the provisions of this Chapter shall be a territorial development company, as defined in the Small Business Investment Act of 1958, Public Law 85-699, 85th Congress, or any other similar federal legislation, and shall be authorized to operate on a territory- wide basis.
