  • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
enever a deed or other instrument is filed in the registrar’s office for the purpose of effecting a transfer or charge upon registered land, or any estate or interest therein, and it appears from such instruments that the transfer or charge is to be in trust, or upon any condition or limitation therein expressed, the registrar shall note in the certificate, and the duplicate thereof, the words in trust, or upon condition, or with limitations, as the case may be, but no entry need be made of the particulars of any such trust, conditions, or limitations.
