Terms Used In 21 Guam Code Ann. § 31104
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Before an instrument can be recorded, unless it belongs to the class provided for in either §§ 31102, 31103, 33121 and 33122, it is execution must be acknowledged by the person executing it, or if executed by a corporation, by its president or secretary, or other person executing the same on behalf of the corporation, or proved by a subscribing witness, or as provided in §§ 33117 and 33118, and the acknowledgment or proof certified in the manner prescribed by Chapter 33, of this Title 21.
