Terms Used In South Carolina Code 12-21-4150
- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- game: means a specific game of chance, commonly known as bingo, in which prizes are awarded on the basis of designated numbers or symbols on a card conforming to numbers and symbols selected at random. See South Carolina Code 12-21-3920
- person: includes any individual, trust, estate, partnership, receiver, association, company, limited liability company, corporation, or other entity or group; and
(2) "individual" means a human being. See South Carolina Code 12-2-20 - Player: means one who participates in a game of bingo other than as an agent, promoter, or representative of the house. See South Carolina Code 12-21-3920
A person who poses as a bingo player or a person who conspires to have a person pose as a bingo player with the intent to defraud regular customers of the game, or a person who is using unauthorized bingo supplies, is guilty of a felony and, upon conviction, must be imprisoned not more than five years or fined not more than five thousand dollars, or both.
