Terms Used In South Carolina Code 40-59-80
- Commission: means the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission. See South Carolina Code 40-59-20
- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- Department: means the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. See South Carolina Code 40-59-20
The Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation shall investigate complaints and violations of this chapter as provided for in § 40-1-80. A person, including the commission, may file an initial complaint against a licensee or registrant. The complaint must be in writing and sworn to by the person filing the complaint.
