Terms Used In South Carolina Code 40-67-80
- Board: means the South Carolina State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. See South Carolina Code 40-67-20
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Person: means an individual, organization, or corporation, except that only individuals can be licensed under this chapter. See South Carolina Code 40-67-20
- Subpoena: A command to a witness to appear and give testimony.
For the purpose of conducting an investigation or proceeding under this chapter, the board or a person designated by the board may subpoena witnesses, take evidence, and require the production of any documents or records which the board considers relevant to the inquiry.
