- Court: means an entity authorized under the law of a state to establish, enforce, or modify a child custody determination. See South Carolina Code 63-15-302
If the respondent is not the prevailing party, the court may assess against the respondent all direct expenses and costs incurred by the prosecutor and law enforcement officers under § 63-15-378 or 63-15-380.
