Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 82:13
- company: as used in this chapter shall apply to any enterprise, whether corporation, partnership, limited liability company, proprietorship, association, business trust, real estate trust, or other form of organization. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 82:1
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
Every parlor, sleeping or dining-car corporation or company, or other corporation or company, not a railroad company, owning any cars operated for profit on any railroad in the state, shall state the total number of car-miles, the number of miles traversed by its cars, taken singly, whether within or without the state during the preceding year and the total number of such car-miles during the same period within the state.
