Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, any member retired under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 102:17 or 18 and who upon retirement elected an option under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 102:16, or whose designated representative is receiving an allowance under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 102:16 shall continue to receive benefits under such election.
