- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
All administrative fines and other civil monetary penalties collected by the department from facilities licensed under this chapter shall be kept by the state treasurer in a separate, non-lapsing, interest bearing account. Interest earned on moneys deposited in the account shall be deposited into the account. The moneys in the account shall be used by the department for the protection of the health and property of residents of facilities licensed under this chapter.
