The executive director may condemn, upon request of a licensee, the carcass of a lawfully taken and possessed game animal that is determined unfit for human consumption, provided the condition was not created by the actions of the person who took the animal. The entire game animal shall be surrendered to the department and repossessed. After surrender and condemnation of the game animal the licensee shall be given written notice by the department employee indicating that the department repossessed the animal and that the hunter’s privilege to continue to hunt that species has not been jeopardized.
