- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
Each town receiving aid under the provisions of this chapter shall reimburse the state for payments made by the state under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 227-L:32 in the same proportion and to the same extent that such town would be required under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 227-L:22 to bear such expense if it had been incurred within the state.
