Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 232:47
- justice: when applied to a magistrate, shall mean a justice of a municipal court, or a justice of the peace having jurisdiction over the subject-matter. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:12

A meeting of the owners of the lands described in such notice may be called by a justice, upon petition of any person interested therein and the owners, at such meeting, may choose a moderator and clerk, assessors and a collector, and may raise by tax upon the owners the amount for which they are so liable, with incidental charges and any costs and interest which may have accrued thereon.
