In this chapter:
I. “Council” means the New Hampshire transportation council.
II. “Government agency” includes any department, agency, commission, public corporation, bureau, authority, instrumentality, or political subdivision of:
(a) The United States of America.
(b) The state of New Hampshire.
(c) Any state adjacent to New Hampshire.
III. “Municipality” means town as defined in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 21:5.
IV. “Regional planning commission” means any commission formed pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 36:46.

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 238-A:1
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
