I. Upon a final conviction for a violation of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 262:12 or for larceny of a motor vehicle, the court shall report said conviction to the department, which shall immediately revoke the driver‘s license of the person so convicted, or the right of a nonresident so convicted to drive within the state of New Hampshire. Said court, in the case of a person who holds a New Hampshire driver’s license and is so convicted, shall return such license with his findings marked thereon, together with the court return, to the department. The department shall revoke the driver’s license of any person who shall be convicted of a similar offense by a court of any other state.
II. No new driver’s license or certificate shall be issued by the department to any person:

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 263:58


(a) Convicted of a violation of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 262:12, until one year after the date of final conviction; or
(b) Convicted of larceny of a motor vehicle, until no earlier than 2 years and no later than 5 years after the date of final conviction, as the court shall direct.
