I. Every motor vehicle listed below shall be equipped at all times with a fire extinguisher, which shall comply with standards approved by the state fire marshal and the commissioner by rule adopted under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 260:5:
(a) All commercially registered motor vehicles weighing over 8,000 pounds, except for municipally owned vehicles.
(b) All motor homes and motor home trailers that have motor vehicle registrations.
II. The driver or owner of any motor vehicle failing to comply with this section shall be guilty of a violation in accordance with N.H. Rev. Stat. § 266:5.

- Motor home: shall mean a self-propelled, completely self-contained vehicle that includes the conveniences of a home, including cooking, sleeping, and permanent sanitary facilities, and a driver's seat that is accessible in a walking position from the living quarters.
