Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 273:19
- Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
Whenever in such case the employer and employees shall fail to agree to a settlement through the commissioner he shall endeavor to have them consent in writing to submit their differences to said board of arbitration.
