Applications for licensure shall be on forms prescribed and furnished by the board, shall contain statements made under oath, showing the applicant’s education and a detailed summary of the applicant’s technical work, and shall contain not less than 5 references, of whom at least 3 shall be licensed architects having personal knowledge of the applicant’s professional experience. The board shall establish fees for application and any examination required under this subdivision. Should the board deny the issuance of a license to any applicant, any initial fee deposited shall be retained as an application fee.
