- insured: as used in this chapter , shall not be construed as preventing a person other than the insured with a proper insurable interest from making application for and owning a policy covering the insured or from being entitled under such a policy to any indemnities, benefits and rights provided therein. All individual and group health insurance policies which provide coverage for a family member of the insured shall, as to such family member’s coverage, also provide that health insurance benefits applicable for children are payable with respect to any minor from the date such minor is placed in the custody of the insured pursuant to an adoption proceeding under the provisions of RSA 170-B. Such health insurance benefits shall terminate upon dismissal or withdrawal of the petition for adoption.
