- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
The protest of a bill of exchange, note, or order, duly certified by a notary public, shall be evidence of the facts stated in the protest and of the notice given to the drawer or endorsers.
