- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- DVHA: means the Department of Vermont Health Access. See

- Pharmaceutical: means a drug that may not be dispensed unless prescribed by a health care provider as defined by 18 V. See
- Pharmacy: means a retail or institutional drug outlet licensed by the Vermont State Board of Pharmacy pursuant to 26 Vt. See
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See
