Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 6 Sec. 913
- Domestic: when applied to a corporation, company, association, or copartnership shall mean organized under the laws of this State; "foreign" when so applied, shall mean organized under the laws of another state, government, or country. See
- Secretary: means the Secretary of Agriculture, Food and Markets. See
§ 913. Powers of Secretary
The Secretary may, after opportunity for a hearing:
(1) declare as a pest any form of plant or animal life or virus that is injurious to plants, humans, domestic animals, articles, or substances;
(2) determine whether economic poisons are highly toxic to humans; and
(3) determine standards of coloring or discoloring for economic poisons and subject economic poisons to the requirements of subdivision 919(4) of this title. (Amended 2003, No. 42, § 2, eff. May 27, 2003.)
