Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 20 Sec. 24

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See

§ 24. Penalties

Any person violating any provision of this chapter or any rule or order adopted pursuant to this chapter, which rule or order shall be filed with the Secretary of State, shall, upon conviction, be punishable by a fine not exceeding $500.00 or imprisonment not exceeding six months, or both.
