Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 14 Sec. 2641

  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.

§ 2641. Parents as joint guardians

If competent, the father and mother of a legitimate minor child shall be joint guardians of such child. If competent, the surviving parent shall be the sole guardian.
