Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 24 Sec. 2297

  • Legislative body: means the legislative body of a town, city, or incorporated village. See
  • Person: shall include any natural person, corporation, municipality, the State of Vermont or any department, agency, or subdivision of the State, and any partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See
  • Solid waste ordinance: means an ordinance adopted pursuant to subdivision 2291(12) of this title. See
  • town: shall mean village or city. See
  • Village: shall mean an incorporated village. See

§ 2297. Definitions

As used in this subchapter,

(1) “Solid waste ordinance” means an ordinance adopted pursuant to subdivision 2291(12) of this title.

(2) “Legislative body” means the legislative body of a town, city, or incorporated village.

(3) “Respondent” means a person alleged to have violated a solid waste ordinance. (Added 1991, No. 108, § 2.)
