Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 24 Sec. 4381
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Municipality: means a town, a city, or an incorporated village or an unorganized town or gore. See
- Plan: means a municipal plan adopted under section 4385 of this title. See
§ 4381. Authorization
Any municipality may undertake a comprehensive planning program, including related preliminary planning and engineering studies, and prepare, maintain, and implement a plan within its jurisdiction in accordance with this chapter.
